SUMMARY
Stem up to 10 m, angled, moderately to densely pubescent. Leaves with petioles 1.5–2.5 cm long, moderately puberulose; lamina 8–13 by 6–8 (–9) cm, deltoid, glabrous with puberulose hairs on primary and secondary veins of lower surface, base truncate or cordate, apex obtuse or cuspidate, margin entire, secondary veins 17–21-paired. Ocreae usually deciduous. Inflorescence 6–8 (–10) cm long excluded tendril, erect or pendulous, indeterminate, terminal and axillary, 4–7 ocreolae per spike, rachis tip usually with tendrils; inflorescence branches densely puberulose, without glandular dot; spike-like, racemose 2–3 cm long; leafy bracts (20–) 30–60 by (10) 15–30 (–35) mm; ovate, apex acuminate. Flowers with 6–7 flowers in an ocreola; pedicels 2–4 mm long, densely puberulose; bracteoles 1–1.5 mm long, same as ocreola, without vein; ocreolae triangular, incompletely enclosed rachis, 2–2.5 mm long, densely puberulose, without glandular dot, apex acuminate. Tepals 5, connate, pink or white, without glandular dot, viens 3; tube 5–8 mm long, with wings, outer 3, lobes 10–12 by 5–8 mm, cordate, apex acute, inner 2, 8–10 by 2–3 mm, elliptic, apex acute. Stamens in a single whorl, filaments pinkish white, 2–3.5 mm long; glandular hairs, altenate with 7 flat-lobed; staminal column 0.5–0.8 mm long; anthers 0.2–0.3 mm long, yellow, oblong. Styles 3, 1.2–1.5 mm long; stigma reniform, yellow.
